It was the first ObG society to be started in Karnataka and the 24th member society of FOGSI.
BSOG hosted the first Karnataka State Conference from 26th to 28th May 1978. Well over 100 delegates from all over Karnataka attended this conference. With the experience of having conducted this conference our society went ahead to host its first National conference – the 23rd All India Congress of Obstetrics & Gynaecology from 28th to 31st December 1979.
