From the desk of

The AICOG 2018 at Bhuvaneshwar started with the blessings of the almighty Lord Jagganath, who bestowed his blessings on Bangalore the team as well.

There was a surprise in store for everyone, a flash mob by the Bangalore team. It was wonderful to see them dancing to the tunes of Jai Ho. The flash mob turned out to be a huge success with the others joining the celebrations.
Team Lucknow who are hosting AICOG 2020 humbled us by being a part of our celebrations.
Our conference theme “women’s health is nations wealth” was acknowledged and appreciated by everyone. We had a huge number of delegates registering at our stall so that they could avail the early bird offer. All registered delegates received a key chain with AICOG logo as a gift. A beautiful silk scarf from Karnataka was given away as a surprise gift each day. Delegates who received the gift felt the sense of involvement in AICOG 2019 which was nice to hear as delegates are the strength of a conference.
We were overwhelmed with the hospitality of AICOG 2018 organising team. The scientific involvement of Bangalore team in AICOG 2018 created enthusiasm about the upcoming AICOG 2019. The Bangalore team took this opportunity to invite all the delegates during their scientific deliberations.
The PPH and High Risk pregnancy workshop was conducted by Dr. Sheela V Mane and Dr. Pallaniyappan with local co-ordinator Dr. Sasmitha. PPH Chart of BSOG in association with FOGSI was released by Dr. Jaydeep Malhotra, Prof. Arulkumaran and Prof. S N Tripati. There was an amazing response to the workshop with over 700 delegates actively participating. It is needless to say that saving mothers should be our number one priority.
Dr Hema Divakar’s session on Manyatha project created awareness on quality of health delivery in private sector.
The final day of AICOG 2018 was indeed memorable as the FOGSI flag was handed over to the Bangalore team during the valedictory ceremony. Not only did we feel proud but it was also an emotional moment as we are hosting AICOG after a gap of 16 years.
I would like to conclude by saying that the countdown to AICOG has begun. The onus is on each and every member of the Bangalore team. Let us work towards making this conference outstanding in every aspect because I believe that we are capable. Let us leave no stone unturned in making AICOG 2019 a grand success.
